The Test of Courage is Not to Die, But to LivePDFPrintE-mail

Fear. Probably the worst emotion any person could ever have to deal with. And ‘courage’ is the antonym that we give for it in the English language.

What then, is courage? Is it the absolute absence of fear? No, readers, it isn’t. It’s all about feeling fear, but refusing to give in to it. It’s about living, as opposed to merely existing. Courage is to seize life by its reins and shaping it, and not letting it shape you.

Television Show: Supernatural

Bad ass! That’s the first phrase that comes to mind when I think of the TV Show, Supernatural. Originally debuting in 2005 on the WB Network, it is now part of the CW’s line-up.

The show follows the lives of two brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester as they battle all sorts of evil beings: everything from ghosts to werewolves to demons.

Beautiful vs PrettyPDFPrintE-mail

My friend says that I look pretty, which got me ruminating on the demarcation between pretty and beautiful. What I feel is that beautiful is a strong word very close to the perfection or aptness – at least, according to the person looking at an object, and pretty, on the other side, is not as flattering as beautiful.

One fine evening, listening to my umpteen failed love stories, my friend had remarked  as if  pronouncing the verdict of the century, "You are the greatest foolhardy, flirtatious, idiot that has ever walked or that will ever walk on earth."  And he opined that the character of Charlie from the TV series “Two and Half Men” is inspired by me. But little does my good friend know, I am in a secret affair with somebody. However flirtatious I may look, at least one affair of mine, which is till today a secret affair, is going on smooth.  And I am going to write down the date I had yesterday with that special someone.

Belly, colloquially known as "belly fat" or clinically known as "Central Obesity"; is the accumulation of visceral fat resulting in an increase in waist size. It is also known as a "pot belly "or" beer belly " effect in which the abdomen protrudes excessively. This body shape is also known as "apple shaped".
