Jerry Maguire, a sports agent suffering from a nervous breakdown due to stress, writing a mission statement, defeats failures with emulsifying trust and faith in himself. What happens when people whom you trust the most back stab you and watch you dying with pain? At times it becomes so much difficult from our side to deal with such a huge mental trauma. But yes these are the occasions where we learn from, where we get hit hard from our own mistakes. We might be broken apart to pieces but circumstances mould us to something different which we never expect to become. We don’t even have time to wake up from a good dream slowly turning out into a dreadful nightmare. Do we take it inside to regret throughout our lives or do we come out of it to show the world that no it’s not yet over my friend. That’s the guts, the power to question ourselves whom Jerry displays in every sobbing heart alive today.    

Dorothy supports Jerry right from the very beginning, the road that starts with failure and ultimately ends up with success. There are people who laugh with you when you do but today we hardly find people who cry with you when you do. How many people have we seen patting our shoulders to rise from failures, from hardships? In today’s world except for family no one does, not friends, not lovers none. Until and unless you turn the court on your side nobody even gives a shit about you. Jerry creates the extreme enthusiasm in us to stand up on our feet and do realize that this is it, this is the damn one day that I stand up against everyone who back lashed me right on the face and get pumped up to give them the right shot with a punch on that face.

Jerry Maguire is an inspirational power house, good or bad he teaches us to make choices in life that matters to us the most. Fighting to get the best out of the worse, urging to gain the pain and strive for the penultimate success, displaying his sublime trust and love for the person he cares about more than his life. May it be Flipper the fish, Dorothy and her son Ray his sole family and last but not the least Rod Tidwell his client, everyone falls for the world one man portrays that’s Jerry Maguire.

“You Complete Me”: The ultimate excuse by Jerry to Dorothy.

“Show me the money”: Jerry yelling at Rod during a telephonic conversation.

“Help me help you”: Jerry while begging Rod.

Watch the heart touching moment when Ray asks Jerry to hug him and then he kisses Jerry like for an instance he felt his lost father’s love in him. The sweet innocence in the conversation between Jerry and Ray draws the biggest simplicity in the characters. At first Jerry gets confused about his marriage with Dorothy but once he realizes that she is the only one with whom he loves to share his success, his pain and his happiness with, he runs for her and then the most romantic confession of all time blooms up “You Complete Me” three words living Dorothy completely flattered and helpless to answer “You had me at hello”.

Bruce Springsteen’s Secret Garden and Free Falling the two classic tracks are simply incredible and blend perfectly with Jerry’s portrayal. The intimacies between Jerry and Rod at the end when Rod gets emotional and expresses his warm gratitude to Jerry saying “You are my ambassador of the Quan” lives you totally spell bounded and moisten your eyes.

I have seen him countless times but the more I see him the more I learn from him and persist with the strength in believing myself. See the world through the eyes and heart of Jerry Maguire and you will understand what it turns you into one day. After all it’s the……
