People do you have any idea who you are dealing with, this is Jason Bourne you are nine hrs behind the toughest target you have ever tracked. Jason Bourne a perfect example of the words unpredictability and immortality, a spy who defies all the odds to uncover his true identity. I was in a constant impression after watching The Departed and Ocean Series that Matt Damon was one of the most under rated actors in Hollywood, so I mostly ignored the Bourne Series. But when I started The Bourne Identity without any limits of curiosity I completed both Identity and Supremacy at a stretch and Matt Damon became one of my favorites. With eager anxiety for the release of Ultimatum, I went on discovering more and more about Jason Bourne…

A fictional character in Robert Ludlum’s novel brought to screen in 2002 by one of the most promising and definable talents of our time Matt Damon. Jason Bourne, an amnesiac assassin with a mysterious past haunting him throughout his life. One who fights and dares to invade limitless extents to discover his true identity, chased by Central Intelligence Agency to hide an incomplete assassination attempt taken by Bourne himself. In this exploration he sacrifices almost everything including his only family his love Marie, but he hunts down after the ones who were responsible for her death.

Our past keeps us tailgating what ever good or bad we land in but we should have the courage to face it every time it torments us. Admitting owns mistakes is what humans find hard to deal with but Bourne dared to do it by admitting it in front of the daughter of parents whom he executed as an assassination assignment long time ago. What happens when every step we take falls into the hands of darkness and death confronts us every now and then we give up but Bourne fights and comes out of the darkness beating death in his own den which he does at his flamboyant best. Just like when Bourne challenges Noah Vosen in his own office which leaves Vosen completely astounded in Ultimatum.

The way Bourne gives a shock to Marie at the end in Bourne Identity and when Pamela Landy reveals Bourne’s true identity Bourne says “Get some rest Pam you look tired” in Bourne Supremacy it makes you demand for more to engulf the amount of excitement and anticipation it creates in you. The smile in Nicky’s face when the news reporter says that David Webb(Jason Bourne) was shot and fell into the East River but his body was not recovered, and then the famous Moby Extreme Ways punches you from the background, with an unimaginable and nail biting ending to an epic saga. John Powell’s score in the series ecstatically blends with the mood and sync of the movie. In every part when the music starts, it creates a perfect portrayal of Bourne’s daredevil nature.

Forget James Bond forget all the Agents…. This is one spy that you will fall in love with. Destined to rule his past and future Jason Bourne continues his journey of endless pain and grievances. Hats Off to the man behind the extravagant portrayal, the one and only Matt Damon.

He will be back battling every assassin standing in his path in the forth installment of the extraordinarily thrilling series.
