Dark gloomy night

Clouds veiling the sky

No traces of rain

Moon playing hide and seek

Sultry atmosphere

Eyes ready to compensate the rain

Wished I could break free

Into freedom

From the worldly clutches

I wished I could sleep

Darkness terrifying

Anguish profound

Petrified thoughts

Awaiting light

Time fractioned

I closed my eyes

Wanted to sleep

I was scared

By the thought of a nightmare

I wished I could sleep
