Everywhere panic about Swine flu in the whole globe. No place seems to be an exception. The pandemic is spreading rapidly and vigorously. In places like Pune and Bangalore people are shaken and panicked. Over night the number of people tested positive is on rise. We feel startled to tune to a news channel. More death cases registered, children, senior citizens and pregnant women no one is spared.

Swine flu is not the only one which is causing deaths, other deadly attackers of this category are, Dengue, chikungunya, malaria all these are at their peak in India. In a country like India, in order to control these viruses spreading, Government should be playing a vital role. But it is very depressing to see that our Government is failing big times here. The necessary pre cautions which could have helped India restraining from Swine Flu were not taken. For example, restricting incoming flights from countries like USA, New Zealand, and Australia would have been a great step in deed. But it’s not too late now also, as the government can still take preventive steps to ensure this pandemic is handled carefully. Measures like supplying the required masks to public, reducing the cost for the tests, opening more centers for identifying the infected cases. It is impossible to handle thousands of people in a single hospital. Though one positive thing I found is that, now government is planning India’s own testing kits which will reduce the costs of tests by 1/6^th of the current costs.

But it is very sad to express that the most effective prevention is failing now. Wearing a particular mask N95 is said to be effective in preventing from the virus to infect. I was little scared to find that these masks are now out of stock and not to be found in any General medicine stores. With disappointment when I returned home, I was shocked after checking the latest sting operation on Times Now. This time the sting operation is not for any politician blackmailing a common man rather this time it is a chemist blackmailing for a N95 mask. When everyone are finding ways as to how to get a mask, some people have actually bulk collected the masks and are now selling it in black. The mask which actually costs 60 bucks is now 40 bucks. It is really an ugly side that has come out in this period. Not only this, even the Tami flu medicine which should cost 1000 grand is now available for 4000 grand. I just told myself this can happen in Kalyug only.

My sincere request to all the readers, please take possible preventive steps from your side. Improve your resistance power, be careful when going out and if possible avoid public places. Rest I guess even your inbox would be having loads of mails about the measures to be taken.
