Somedays before I finished the serial CHANAKYA (Telecasted on DoorDarshan in 1991-92) directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Once I began the series I could not stop myself watching it and finished the 34 hr (approximately) series in 3 days. I felt something inside me, a complete change. Who is worthy of credit, is it the director or the historical image CHANAKYA. Because, earlier the visual representation of history has always been manipulated. So, wary of the contents shown in the serial, I started my own research about Chanakya. I came to know that the director has done a 9 year research to make complete series. He himself was a medical professional who gave up his medicine career after practising for 2 months due to his interest in Indian literature. Everything shown in the series is result of some some research. A small example i want to present, people in the India were not using saddle on horse's back before Alexander invasion and this clearly applies to the Chanakya series. I could not start writing about  Chanakya before giving my salutation to the director Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi.

The name Chanakya was never so prominent in history. Chanakya was one of the most intelligent strategist and epitome of knowledge on politics. He had a very strong forecasting power, he was never proved wrong for it. It clearly shows his and research ability on various parameter of society was so immense that his each and every decision turned out to be correct. I will give an example here. When Greeks were conquering India, after defeat one king, the king and his army force should merge with Greek army to conquer the next territory. Chanakya wanted to bring all the Indian soldiers present with Greek army to his side. For this, he applied a strategy, in the battle field their army won't kill any Indian soldier from Greek army and give them a chance to escape from battle field. This created an impression in the mind of the Indian Green soldiers and most of them left Greek army, joined with Chandragupta's side.

Though he was a brahmin, though he was not armed, though he earned his living by begging, he had the power of destroying an emperor. Once he said, "A mother and a treacher has the power to make a new society". More over he was a perfect stragist, a perfect politician, a perfect teacher and last but not least a perfect nationalist.
