Belief in Ghosts called superstition and belief in God called faith. How do you justify this.

Very interesting topic! It is so for the convenience of the fearless, happy, confident living of people, I suppose. What is undesirable, unwanted, harmful is discouraged and what is beneficial, supportive for moral/emotional wellbeing is being upheld- putting it simply.

What can be better indication of the hypocrisy that exists in our society.

We the society tend to ignore all the negative forces as absurd and baseless but in the same time people cling to their beliefs on god.

What an ignorance?

Regarding hypocrisy, certain amount of hypocrisy is unavoidable as our bard-on-Avon said the world is a stage and we are 'actors', putting on masks, mouthing falsehoods, playing a programmed role etc.
But about ignorance nothing can be farther from truth. The ignorance of the masses is immense, pathetic, deplorable! They continue erecting temples in street corners, visiting all kinds of shrines on all auspicious days and bakthi has become a fashion, I observe!!! A la mode- a sort of. It is trendy to be pious!!! And it is a prosperous era for charlatans of saints and priests of all hues and origins! People throng them like herds of sheep! The unthinking, ignorant masses encouraging their cheap gimmicks make one feel helpless!Mantras and tantricks also flourish not only in rural areas but also urban cities! People resort to driving out spirits from a possessed person in a beastly manner instead of seeking medical help for neurotic, hysteria disorders! Very sad scenario!

Well..ghosts are the embodiment of negative where as God is a positive one. So..I dont see any hypocrisy in clinging to a positive force!

And yet, there are far more claims of 'ghost-sightings' than 'God-sightings'!
