Today's Media creates hype, buzz, sensation. The news has been reduced to mere gossip. Sensation is equivalent to NEWS. We the people just follow them.

Media have political and business inclinations, which increases their towards their bottom line. They have biased take on many issues which polarizes public views.

They can make or break a deal, a cause, a justice etc.

Are we the puppets in the hands of media, who manipulates us, twist and turn our feelings and emotions?

This case just reminds me of the supercop SPS rathore who was literally bought to trial by media.

Had that evil grin of his face escaped the camera, I doubt if anybody would be interested to know the result of Ruchika Case.

Same is the Twitter case with Shashi Tharoor.

Well...Media is a necessary evil. Atleast the fierce competition in this dog-eating-dog media world helps in bringing out the corruption and evil deeds! Irresponsible arrogant ministers get exposed! Cops think twice b4 casting their lecherous look at any woman or gal! This fear of exposure in mass media curtail the crime level! Yes..exaggeration, gossip r there. It's up to us to pick our pick and ignore the rest!

This Tharoor guy needs to grow up! Another spoilt egg!

In a democratic set up the administration cannot bring any curb on the media lest they be accused of violation of the freedom to expression. Hence the media freely behaves in a way that would boost its readership without prudence or ethics. Sensationalism, gossip and character assassination is what the media relish to publish because this is what that sells. The media is a puppet at the hands of its readership

What do you think is the role of media?

Educate or entertain or expose?
