Well the discussion is about the movie 3 idiots and the artists responsible for the product. So, I wont divert from the topic discussing my personal topics.

Yes they are answerable because they are at the center stage and we spend money on them. Due to the fetish of the actors to play teen age roles when they are running around 50 years, Bollywood is the laughing stock all over the world. Its no wonder their fans still revere them as demigods.

Can anybody share the reason why these stars still love to play teen age characters? Ain't there good scripts for a 50 year old character? Or they hate aging or is it the underlying fear? Its high time they should stop fooling themselves because the audiences are foolish anyways. Enough is Enough.

We are talking abt appreciative cinema and that's the basis audiences will remember a product some years down the line. Its different science all together to analyze the BO collections or earnings. Most of the time BO collections are used by the interested parties to blind the average cine goers.

The primary reason we shouldn't give importance to BO collection is with changing times new movies/stars will pour which will break previous records. Audience behavior, mediums, ways to earn and marketing ways are changing rapidly and it will change more so in future. Most of these factors are responsible for BO collection rather than the quality of the product. (I have still left the inflation factor)

Next year you may sing a song for the record breaking BO collection for the movie "My name is Khan". I can also argue that BO collections for Himesh Reshammiya's movies are good (considering him as a new kid on the block), does it makes HR movie's good?

Time can never alter the quality of a cinema. Did we ever appreciated movies like Sholay for BO collections?

Here I rest my case. - Administrator

Absolutely one that fits him, that's the reason he is named the perfectionist. I guess you can ask genuine movie goers response as well as record breaking collections of 3 Idiots, its because of multiple views or second time watch. That is enough for everyone to understand how big the scale of 3 Idiots is... My suggestion stop watching movies or start making movies to undergo your level of satisfaction instead of continuously thrashing every single one. Apparently just count how many movies have you even watched this year. - Barun Dash

What to expect when you have one of the top actors of Bollywood ("The perfectionist" as to quote you) and a good director? Its kinda funny when people say that they don't expect anything better than average.

The actor who still loves his college boy roles when he is running around 50. The director still loves to hear "All is Well". - Administrator

For me it was average comedy to plain boring (at times). Watch the trailing 45 minutes to mark my words. What nonsense/bullshit things the director wants to feed the audiences.

The script is a combination of the novel "Five Point Someone" to some incidents of forwarded chain mails to sardar jokes to some bollywood mix masala.

Aamir khan was a total misfit for the role. The twitching of his facial muscles, his expressions, his smile doesn't do good for the character. He tries hard and does a good job but only adds the chocolate boy look to his character rather than realistic appeal.

The music is below average. Again another weak point are the loose support characters which was never the case in previous movies of Raj Kumar Hirani.

The audience will slowly get bored if Hirani churns more of this genre. He needs to explore a new genre soon before the honeymoon is over. - Administrator
